Dominant DK – Association Junior Player Of The Year!

Massive congratulations to Under 16 Daniel Koch on winning the Kelly Mattner Cup (Association Junior Player of the Year) at last night’s Barossa and Light Cricket Association presentation night.

Despite missing a game with injury, DK won the Association U16 Batting Aggregate by more than 100 runs over the second place-getter, teammate Ethan “Easy E” Morrow. DK’s 467 runs (ave 42.65) included a best of 109 vs Tanunda in the last minor round game (see picture).

Even though he didn’t bowl in almost half of the games played by the U16s, DK’s left arm pace also netted him the second most wickets for the junior Cockatoos, with his 10 wickets at the miserly average of 10.60 just 5 wickets shy of the association’s leading wicket taker (Cooper Behn from Gilbert Valley, with 15 @ 10.13).
